Van der Veer Ltd was incorporated in August 2006 as the legal and governing entity for the purposes of conducting the affairs of the Institute (renamed to New Zealand Brain Research Ltd in 2011). This function is undertaken in accordance with the company’s constitution and the Companies Act 1993. The company holds tax and duty exemption and donee status with the Inland Revenue Department.The company is a fully-owned subsidiary of the Canterbury Medical Research Foundation.
